Description

The activities are devoted to the derisking of full-scale subsystems and technologiesdesigned in the frame of reference high thrust flight engine defined by the industrialcontractors. The activities shall be divided in three lots, namely:1. Pre-burners or gas generators;2. Turbo machinery; and3. Thrust chambers.The main achievements expected from THRUST! period 2 will pertain to:- Technology maturation plan definition;- Technology testing (pre-burner injectors, turbopump components, materials,regenerative cooling, hot gas injection and combustion, igniters, seals, etc.);- Full scale pre-burner hot-fire tests;- Full scale turbomachinery tests;- Full scale powerpack hot-fire tests;- Thrust chamber technology tests;- Progressive validations of engine system functions (regulation, etc.).
