Description

The project is to be priced and carried out as modifications to an existing structure, not as a wholly new standalone shed in accordance with the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine farm structures specifications S101, S100, S102, and S123, in particular which detail minimum quality standards. Tenderers shall inspect the existing building, verify dimensions and levels on site, and allow for protection, temporary support, alteration, making good and integration with existing structure, floors, services, roof and drainage. The works comprise proposed alterations and extension works to the existing ICBF Shed 3 building. The drawings (APPENDIX A) indicate new slatted tanks, and platform works within/adjacent to the existing shed arrangement, retention of an existing passageway, methane box platforms, agitation points, a lean-to over the crush area, rubber slat mats, slurry aeration system, and alterations to raise the ridge and overall roof height. Modify the existing roof/structure to provide a new raised ridge and raised overall roof height as indicated in drawings (APPENDIX A). Construct new reinforced concrete slurry tank areas as noted on drawings (APPENDIX A) Form new agitation points to the proposed tank works. Provide and install slurry aeration system in accordance with existing site installation (DairyPower Aeration) Provide and install rubber slat mats in accordance with existing campus installation (Comfort Slat Mat) Construct new cubicle platforms in the locations shown. Retain and integrate with the existing passageway. Provide methane box platforms in the positions shown. Construct a new lean-to over the crush area as noted on drawings (APPENDIX A) The existing structure will not be operational during construction. Existing structural frame dimensions are provided in attached drawings (APPENDIX A)
