Thisproject will be federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development(HUD) Department through the Texas General Land Office (GLO) via contract#24-065-004-E161. Bidders shall comply with regulations governing the CDBGRegional Mitigation Program (Regulation 24 CFR 570). Applicable requirementsinclude but are not limited to compliance with the Davis-Bacon and RelatedActs, Fair Labor Standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action,Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, and contracting with small, minority, anddisadvantaged firms, as detailed in the project manual. In addition, thesuccessful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment arenot discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity,gender identity, or national origin.

The
District
shall
require
the
bidder
to
furnish
a
bid
security
in
the
amount
of
(5%)
of
the
total
contract
cost.
The
bid
bond
must
be
executed
with
a
surety
company
authorized
to
do
business
in
the
State
of
Texas
and
approved
by
the
Districts
advisors.
Within
ten
(10)
days
after
the
date
of
the
signing
of
the contract
,
the
bidder
shall
furnish
a
performance
bond
to
the
District
for
the
full
amount
of
the
contract.
Bidders
shall
forward
an
original
and
three
(3)
copies
of
their
bid
to
the
address
shown
below.
The
District
does
not
accept
bids
submitted
electronically.
Late
bids
will
be
rejected
as
non-responsive.
Sealed bids
will
be
publicly
opened
and
read
aloud
in
