Description
The European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) is ESA's main project in the field of formal and non-formal early childhood, primary and secondary education. Under the coordination and steering of ESA and the national space agencies and offices, and with the support of national institutions and organizations active in the field of formal and non-formal education, the project aims at enabling capacity building in the school level teacher and educator communities and at designing and promoting the use of didactic resources and activities that make use of space as a context for the teaching and learning of STEM-related disciplines.National ESERO offices are established to implement activities across their hosting country. They are staffed by national education experts able to work in strong synergy and partnership with the national education authorities, stakeholders and networks, as well as the national space sector - an approach that has already proven to be effective and successful across 22 ESA Member States. In July 2026 a new ESERO will be established in an ESA Associate Member State - Latvia. Other countries have also now expressed interest in hosting an ESERO.
