This involves implementing effective natural resource management, advocating collaborative approaches, and establishing a network of partners and stakeholders to build a sustainable Indonesia.YKAN andits partners, promotes sustainable seaweed farming practices by providing support to seaweed farmers in coastal villages across East Nusa Tenggara—particularly those bordering the Sawu Sea Marine Conservation Area. Through its marine conservation program, YKAN supports government-led management efforts for the Sawu Sea Marine National Park while also making sure local communities still earn a good living.Through the sustainable seaweed farming program, farmers are introduced to YKAN’s Best Management Practices (BMP) for seaweed cultivation—methods that do not harm coral reefs, seagrass beds, or aquatic ecosystems. Farmersget hands-onBMP training and introduced to seedling selection techniques.
