Collection and Transport of Waste in Gentofte Municipality

This tender concerns the collection and transport of waste from residents within Gentofte Municipality. The scope includes the weekly collection of food and residual waste from approximately 10,200 single-family homes and 2,400 terraced houses. Additionally, waste from approximately 20,500 apartments across 600 specific apartment buildings will be collected one or more times weekly. The tender also covers the collection of dry recyclable materials in two-compartment bins, specifically paper and glass, and metal, plastic, and beverage cartons. Single-family homes will have the option of using their own 240-liter bins for paper. Apartment buildings are equipped with separate single-chamber bins for residual and food waste, plastic, metal, paper, textile waste, and small electronics. This procurement is conducted as an open tender in accordance with the Danish Public Procurement Act, ensuring that any suitable bidder may submit a proposal. The contract is being awarded as a single, comprehensive contract, as the municipality anticipates significant administrative benefits from this approach. The municipality is seeking a long-term contract that allows for flexibility in adapting collection schemes without fundamental changes. This flexibility will be managed within the framework of a single contract. The awarded contract will commence upon signing and will be valid from February 26, 2024, to February 29, 2032. Furthermore, the contract includes an option for two 12-month extensions, with the terms for exercising these options detailed in the tender documents.
