Description

The Government of Co-operative Republic of Guyana has received financing in the amount of 100 million USD from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) toward the cost of contracts to execute civil works for Saudi Fund For Development (SFD), Infrastructure Development Works For The Housing Sector Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Infrastructure Development Works at Wales, West Bank Demerara, Region #3, Lots 1 to 7 for the execution of civil works for the project. 1) The Ministry of Housing, Central Housing and Planning Authority, through the Projects department now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the project CHPA/1/796/Wales1 - Infrastructure Development Works at Wales, West Bank Demerara, Region #3, Lots 1 to 7. Construction works will include construction of approximately 28.1 km of aggregate surface roads, earthen drains and RC culverts and bridges. 2) Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB), as specified in SFD’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and related services under Saudi Fund for Development Project Financing (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to Firms in accordance with the criteria. In addition, please refer to paragraphs setting forth SFD’s policy on conflict of interest. 3) Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from the Projects Department of the Central Housing and Planning Authority at the address below, during office hours, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Fridays, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Alternatively, payments of One Hundred and Twenty United States Dollars ($120 US) can be made using the bank account details below. Bidders are required to indicate an email in their application, where any changes to the bidding document can be sent and received by bidders. The method of payment shall be cash. The document will be presented on a flash drive. The bid submission must clearly indicate the type of intended association as joint venture or sub-contractor and the lead firm in the bid. This must be validated by an agreement among members of the association which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub-contractor. The Call is open to Saudi Arabian companies and Saudi Arabian / Local Joint venture. 6) A contractor will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of competitive bidding under Saudi Fund for Development Financing. 7) Submission of bids, in English (one paper original and 3 separate electronic copies on three separate flash drives) marked “Saudi Fund For Development (SFD), Infrastructure Development Works For The Housing Sector Project for the Infrastructure Development Works at Wales, West Bank Demerara, Region #3, Lots 1 to 7", must be hand-delivered to the address indicated below not later than 09:00 hrs. Thursday, 7th January 2027. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend, at the address below.
