Description

EllisDon Construction Services Inc. on behalf of Alberta Infrastructure The objective of the Alberta Surgical Initiative (ASI) is to reduce wait times for all elective surgeries in the Province of Alberta. This project will improve Albertans’ access to surgical care by increasing the number of surgical cases preformed at these acute care sites. This project includes the following scopes of work: 1. Basement Medical Vacuum Tie-In Connection of the new medical vacuum system to the existing hospital medical vacuum system in the basement. 2. McCaig Tower 3rd Floor clinical engineering renovation focuses on creating a more useable space. 3. McCaig Tower 5th Floor OR Development of shelled space 11 Operating Rooms: 2 Interventional, 2 Isolation, 1 Airborne Isolation, and 6 General. 17 Post Anesthetic Care patient spaces, and 5 pre-operative patient spaces. 4. McCaig Tower Level 6 Interstitial Space for mechanical and electrical services, including 11 dedicated air handling units serving the operating rooms. 5. McCaig Tower 8th Floor New Air Handling Unit to support development of shelled areas. The project includes upgrades to clinical, mechanical, and electrical systems throughout the facility. Work includes the integration of new systems with existing hospital infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical tie-ins, required shutdowns, testing, balancing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
