Description

BGIS on behalf of Alberta Infrastructure Existing Elevator is to be modernized with new elevator machine room. The intent of the project is to fully modernize the existing glass elevator to the new 2019 elevator code. The electrical contractor will replace all conduit systems, power, lighting, and fire alarm that pass through the ceiling space at the top of the elevator shaft, five feet outside the elevator shaft, and were affected by the fire. Install new LED strip lighting above elevator thresholds on all floors and connect it to existing elevator lobby lighting controls to meet AEDARSA illumination level requirements. Reprogram the existing elevator lobby smoke detectors and control relays for homing and alternate homing of the new elevator controller. Provide and install new Cat6A, FT6 data cable to the new elevator machine room from the existing wiring closet in the building.
