Description

The New York City Department of Correction will be purchasing the Interactive Journaling curricula for the Program and Community Partnerships Counseling Unit to facilitate in-person groups at various DOC facilities. The evidence-based interactive journaling curricula will enable the Divisions counseling staff to facilitate in-person group sessions with individuals in our care. These curricula are designed to provide people in custody with the opportunity to develop strategies and build skills that support emotional self-regulation, responsible decision-making, and the reduction of future involvement in the criminal justice system.

The Change Companies develop and own the right to the proprietary technology of the Interactive Journaling, which is an evidence-based therapeutic practice. No curriculum, outside of those develop and published by The Change Companies include the evidence-based practice of Interactive Journaling.
