Procurement of processing software and server for isotope studies (PET-CT and SPET-CT)

Kanta-Häme Welfare Area (OmaHäme) is requesting your offer for isotope study (PET-CT and SPET-CT) processing software and the necessary server on which the software will be installed. The offer must include licenses for four (4) simultaneous users for viewing isotope images, reconstruction tools, and analysis software. One license is sufficient for cardiac perfusion analyses (Cedars). Software usage licenses must be perpetual. The tenderer may, to the extent possible, utilize software licenses and server platforms already owned by Oma Häme in their offer. In addition to software licenses, the procurement includes maintenance for the system for one (1) year, which includes software updates, Finnish-language user support during business hours, and server maintenance. After the first year, the maintenance agreement will continue indefinitely on a year-by-year basis. The indefinite contract period includes maintenance of the acquired software licenses, updates, technical support, and server hardware maintenance. During the contract period, it will be checked annually whether the installed server hardware has been renewed within the last five (5) years and whether the operating system and support software are still within their supported lifecycle (not end-of-life). The server is connected to the Client's domain, and the Client is responsible for the operating system's security updates. If an update is necessary, the Supplier will deliver, install, and, together with the hospital's IT department, commission new server hardware with an up-to-date, manufacturer-supported operating system in the Ahvenisto Hospital's server room. The offered server solution will be located in the server room of Kanta-Häme Central Hospital's Hämeenlinna Central Hospital, and its installation must not be billed separately but must be included in the offer. The server and software package must be installed and operational by the end of 2026. Kanta-Häme Central Hospital performs over 1000 SPET(-CT) and over 300 PET-CT examinations annually. PET-CT operations began at the start of 2026, so the number of examinations is expected to increase in the coming years. The purchased server and software solution is intended to perform all fusion, image viewing, and analysis of SPET-CT and PET-CT examinations for the Kanta-Häme Welfare Area, as well as all reconstructions for SPET-CT examinations. An indefinite maintenance agreement, including software updates, will also be made for the purchased system. The purchased software must be fully suitable for clinical use in specialized healthcare and support the current and future equipment of the Kanta-Häme Welfare Area. Currently, the welfare area uses GE Healthcare's OMNI Legend 32 cm PET-CT camera and Aurora SPET-CT camera, both commissioned in 2026. The image archiving system is Sectra PACS. Please note that the deadline for submitting offers is July 3, 2026, and the procurement decision for this tender will be made no earlier than week 33/2026.
