IT Consultant (Individual)

Published by Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, Local Government Engineering Department (LGED). Procuring Entity: Project Director, B-STRONG, LGED Part. The Scope of Services of the Consultant includes but not limited to the following: I) To identify possible Management Information System (MIS) requirements and assess the availability of resources. II) To assist Design and Supervision Farm in customizing the MIS for project management, following the existing monitoring systems used in LGED. III) To assist PIU in taking over IT related deliverables from the Design and Supervision Farm on behalf of PD as counterpart. IV) To operate and monitor various IT equipment for the project V) To monitor the project page on the LGED website and update as needed. VI) To assist PIU in preparing different types of reports and documents and creating customized databases as needed. VII) To prepare customized reports from these systems. VIII) To operate and manage dashboard and database monitoring systems accessible to assigned users in the LGED and PIU office, showing the progress of packages, including implementation of ESMP, tracking the GRM/GRS, and compliance with ESF— sortable by geographic areas). Details TOR can be collected from PD office in Office time. The Consultant will support the PIU in strengthening technical decision-making and ensuring that infrastructure interventions are appropriate to local conditions and aligned with project objectives. Procurement Method: Selection of Individual Consultants (SIC). Budget and Source of Funds: Development Budget GOB. Experience and Resources Required: The Interested Applicants need to provide information demonstrating that s/he has the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The selection criteria are – Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, information systems, or a related discipline. A master’s degree will be considered an advantage. • Experience: The Consultant should have 10 years of professional experience. The consultant should have five (5) years of experience working on medium- to large-scale ICT projects funded by the Government of Bangladesh or comparable organizations. Working experience with development partner-funded projects will be considered an advantage. Other criteria are mentioned in the detailed Terms of Reference (ToR).. Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.
