IT System for Movement Monitoring
About This Opportunity
TranslatedVästra Götalandsregionen (VGR) is issuing an invitation to tender for the procurement of a movement monitoring IT system. The primary objective is to enhance the prevention of fall injuries among patients receiving inpatient care, aligning with the region's strategic goals for fall injury management. To achieve this, VGR is undertaking a project to implement movement monitoring across its facilities. This procurement represents a region-wide effort to acquire the necessary technology and establish a unified approach to fall prevention. The rollout of the solution and associated new working methods will be phased, commencing in 2025. The tender also encompasses functionality for the prevention of pressure ulcers. The system will be deployed across all five hospital administrations within the region. Key performance indicators for the project include reducing fall injuries to less than 0.5% of all care episodes, decreasing the use of "orosvak" (anxiety monitoring), and freeing up nursing staff time by reducing the handling of alarm mats. The contract is anticipated to be effective from the contract date and will extend for eight years from the date of effective delivery. This procurement process will result in a contract with a single supplier, and bids must address the entirety of the tender requirements.
