POST-NOTIFICATION: Request for Participation: New Malmi Hospital, Family Center, and Health and Well-being Center, main contractor procurement The subject of the procurement is the main contractor procurement for the implementation of the new Malmi Hospital, Family Center, and Health and Well-being Center using an alliance model. The new building will be constructed adjacent to the current Malmi Hospital (Talvelantie 6) and is planned to be completed in phases by 2035. The new Malmi Hospital is a rehabilitation-promoting hospital that treats patients, especially those requiring acute geriatric and surgical follow-up care. There will be approximately 200 new hospital beds. The hospital area will also accommodate potential future expansion. Adjacent to the hospital, a versatile rehabilitation-promoting therapy center is planned, which will centralize, among other things, rehabilitation robotics. Technology will also be utilized in the follow-up rehabilitation of discharged patients. Construction will take place in phases. The current hospital, including HUS's emergency services and laboratories, will continue to operate normally throughout the construction period. Malmi Health Center will also continue its operations until the new replacement facilities are completed. The premises for the Family Center and Health and Well-being Center will be located in the same building as the new hospital. The total scope of the project, as estimated in the needs assessment decision, is approximately 77,000 gross square meters. A zoning amendment is required for the project. The zoning amendment will expand the current hospital plot, increase building rights, and make traffic arrangements. The health center, school, and teleoperator's premises located in the area are planned to be demolished and relocated to the released plot area for the project's facilities. All services from the current health center locations will continue in their existing premises until the new facilities are completed in phases. The school and teleoperator will receive new premises in the nearby area. A single alliance agreement will be drawn up for the project, and the different phases of the project will be implemented through separate phase-specific orders. The contracting authority will always make a separate decision on whether the project continues with a new order or ends. The contracting authority also has the right to transfer the alliance agreement.
