PUBLIC CALL FOR THE AWARD OF A CONCESSION FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MANDATORY ECONOMIC PUBLIC SERVICE OF PROVIDING SHELTER FOR ABANDONED ANIMALS IN THE AREA OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF POSTOJNA

The subject of the concession is the performance of the mandatory economic public service of providing shelter for abandoned animals (hereinafter: public service), namely providing assistance, care and accommodation for abandoned animals and performing other tasks related to abandoned animals in accordance with the ZZZiv, regulations issued on its basis, and the decree. The public service includes in particular: – accepting reports of abandoned animals, – providing necessary veterinary assistance to abandoned animals, – capturing and transporting abandoned animals, – providing accommodation and care for abandoned animals in the shelter, – identifying animals and searching for owners, – notifying owners when they are known, – ensuring the marking and registration of animals in cases specified by regulations, – arranging for the adoption of animals to new owners, – maintaining prescribed records and – other tasks determined by applicable regulations. The area of ​​performance of the public service is the entire area of ​​the Municipality of Postojna. Based on the concession agreement, the concessionaire obtains the exclusive right to perform the public service in the entire area of ​​the municipality. The concessionaire must perform the public service continuously (24 hours a day, all days of the year), which includes ensuring the acceptance of reports and an on-call service for the capture and transport of abandoned animals.
