Description

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is an economic immigration program administered by the Province under the Alberta–Canada Immigration Agreement in partnership with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The program enables Alberta to nominate individuals for permanent residence who have the skills, experience, and capacity to contribute to the province’s economic development and labour market needs. AAIP administers entrepreneur immigration streams designed to attract experienced business owners and innovative entrepreneurs to establish and operate businesses in Alberta. These streams support job creation, regional economic development, and long-term economic diversification. These streams provide a pathway to permanent residence for Applicants who demonstrate the ability to successfully establish, operate, and sustain a business that delivers measurable economic benefit to Alberta. As part of the Application process, Applicants must submit a Business Plan, Business Plan Evaluation Report, Net Worth Assessment Report and supporting documentation that satisfy AAIP requirements and program criteria. Applicants must also meet all the terms of a Business Performance Agreement signed with the Province and provide a Special Purpose Report after 12 months of operations, prior to Nomination. All information submitted must be accurate, complete, and current at the time of application. Applicants are responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of all information provided. Failure to submit complete, truthful, and verifiable documentation may result in refusal of the Application. AAIP is seeking to establish Lists of Qualified Service Providers (QSPs) to provide independent third-party assessment services to entrepreneur stream applicants.
