Carcass Search African Swine Fever

This tender concerns the provision of expert services for carcass searches related to African Swine Fever (ASF). The primary objective is to support the contracting authority in strategically planning and executing carcass detection operations both inside and outside the designated Sperrzone II (Restricted Zone II), as defined in Annex I of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3245 of December 19, 2024. The scope of work includes the organization and execution of carcass searches using biological detection methods, coordinating the deployment of suitable carcass search teams commissioned by the contracting authority, contractor, or the relevant district/independent city. Additionally, the tender requires the organization and execution of carcass searches utilizing technical detection methods, specifically coordinating the deployment of qualified drone operators. The contractor will be responsible for providing suitable dog search teams and drones. A crucial aspect of the service involves consolidating and evaluating the data and flight path records obtained during the searches. This data must be presented in a format that allows the contracting authority to continuously integrate it into maps and fulfill its reporting obligations to the European Union. Support with public relations activities is also part of the required services. This initiative is critical for disease control and monitoring within the affected region.
