Kangasniemi Municipality is requesting offers for school transport as presented in this request for proposals. This concerns transport to be carried out on school days.
The competitive tendering areas are:
1) Daily Bus Service
2) Transportations in the direction of Seppälä, Joutsanmaantie, and Ohensalo
3) Transportations in the direction of Jyväskylä
4) Transportations in the direction of Koittila
5) Transportations in the direction of Hokka
6) Transportations in the direction of Luusniemi, Vuojalahti, and Läsäkoski
7) Transportations in the direction of Kutemajärvi, Vihava, and Vaimosniemi
8) Taxi route for Sateenkaari School
9) High school transport at 4 PM towards Hokka
10) High school transport at 4 PM towards Vuojalahti / Luusniemi
The contract durations vary for different sub-areas from one to three years. Contracts can be extended by a maximum of 1+1 option years without a new tender competition.
Transport will begin on 13.8.2026. The tender competition is open to all who hold a public transport license or passenger transport license. Subcontracting is permitted.
The destinations are school transport for the schools in the center of Kangasniemi municipality and its village schools. Route descriptions for the sub-areas for the academic year 2026–2027 are detailed in Annex 1.

The routes serve students from Kalliola, Becker, and Kankainen schools, as well as students from Kangasniemi High School.
CONTRACT PERIOD 3 years + options 1 year + 1 year
The service provider is responsible for the functionality of the routes and adherence to the schedule. The customer has the right to change routes and schedules as needed.

The daily rate includes the use of the bus for student transport during school days, with kilometer equalization monthly, in addition to morning and afternoon routes. The offer will specify a benefit kilometer price for excess kilometers. This price will be used to calculate the cost of additional kilometers and for calculating credits.
