Osa-alueen kohteena ovat kehittämisen menetelmätuen asiantuntijapalvelut. Osa-alueessa tullaan hankkimaan asiantuntija-/konsultointipalveluita ketterien toimintatapojen ja menetelmien käyttöön (esim. Scrum, DevOps, Lean), erilaisten toimintamallien kehittämiseen (esim. ketterän kehittämisen pelikirjan päivittäminen, ketteryyden työvälineiden tehokas käyttö) sekä näihin liittyvään valmennukseen ja koulutukseen. Metsähallitus ei ole valinnut mitään yksittäistä viitekehystä ketteryyteen, vaan pyrkii parhaita käytäntöjä yhdistäen arvioimaan ja jatkuvasti kehittämään organisaatiolle toimivinta mallia. Hankittavilta asiantuntijoilta edellytetään yleistä ICT-kehityksen ja ylläpidon toimintamallien tuntemusta niin, että hankittavat asiantuntijat kykenevät soveltamaan malleja Metsähallituksen toimintaympäristöön. Haettavia rooleja tälle osa-alueelle ovat mm.:  Tiimin agile-valmentaja  Organisaation agile-valmentaja.
