AI Cluster Upgrade - DGX v2
About This Opportunity
TranslatedThis tender concerns the procurement of an NVIDIA DGX B300 system to enhance the existing deep learning infrastructure for the dtec.bw MissionLab project at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich (UniBw M). Following a previous procurement in 2023 for the expansion of their deep learning capabilities, UniBw M requires additional DGX-H100 systems and associated NVIDIA networking infrastructure. This is to ensure the continued usability of installed software, training data, and pre-trained neural networks, thereby facilitating efficient shared use of the current deep learning workstations. UniBw M previously awarded a contract on December 16, 2023, to DELTA Computer Products GmbH for the "Delivery, installation, and networking of a Deep Learning Cluster (NU 187)" after a negotiated procedure without a prior call for competition. Through contracts NU187, MT990, and LT218, UniBw M has established a deep learning high-performance GPU cluster within the MissionLab project. Delta successfully installed and networked five DGX systems at UniBw M's premises, integrating a high-performance/high-storage server. The current setup provides UniBw M with a powerful system featuring 1,120 logical CPU cores, ten terabytes of RAM, 40 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs interconnected via NVLink, and a high-performance/high-storage data server also linked via NVLink. The 40 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs within the DGX systems are also connected through NVLink. UniBw M utilizes this GPU cluster for critical research, including training large language models, mission-related planning using reinforcement learning, training sensor deployment models, and automated sensor evaluation employing neural networks and Vision Transformers. The ongoing research within the "MissionLab" project generates a continuously increasing demand for high-performance computing infrastructure to support the development of automated mission systems.
This is a supplies contract in the information and communication technology and general supplies sectors, with a focus on Hardware and Network Infrastructure. Located in Germany, Europe, this opportunity is open to firms and consortiums.
