Description

D2.          SCOPE OF WORKD2.1        The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of improvements to the Kilcona DogPark, located at the intersection of Lagimodiere Boulevard and Springfield Road in Winnipeg,Manitoba.D2.2        The major components of the Work are as follows:(a)   Protection of existing wood fencing;(b)   Protection of existing trees;(c)    Removal of sod, topsoil and subgrade to the depths required to accommodate new construction;(d)   Removal of asphalt in parking lot to accommodate new accessible ramp and entry node;(e)   Relocation & Installation of in-ground and surface mounted benches and waste bins;(f)    Earthwork and Grading, including grading of owner supplied clay fill and finished grading inpreparation for native grass seeding;(g)   Erosion control mats on any finishing grading surfaces that exceed 33% slopes;(h)   Construction of accessible entrances and vestibules complete with wood fencing;(i)     Construction of 1.8m high chain link fences, pedestrian and vehicle access gates;(j)     Construction of Wooden Information Kiosks;(k)    Construction of Metal Signage;(l)     Construction of granular walking trails;(m)  Installation of owner supplied mulch trails;(n)   Placement of tree pits with clay-rich planting medium and mulch;(o)   Supply & Installation of trees;(p)   Installation of sodding;(q)   Mowing of new walking trails; and(r)    Two (2) year landscape maintenance.D2.3        The following shall apply to the Services:(a)   City of Winnipeg Green Building Policy: New City-Owned Buildings and major additions;http://clkapps.winnipeg.ca/DMIS/DocExt/ViewDoc.asp?DocumentTypeId=2&DocId=5989(b)   Universal Design Policyhttp://clkapps.winnipeg.ca/DMIS/DocExt/ViewDoc.asp?DocumentTypeId=2&DocId=3604D2.4        The funds available for this contract are $900,000.
