Original language: GermanEin Ziel des Projekts ist die Realisierung eines Quantenprozessors, der in der Lage ist, tiefe Quantenschaltkreise zu erzeugen. Eine Voraussetzung zur Realisierung tiefer Quantenschaltkreise ist das Herunterkühlen sowie das Aufrechterhalten einer Temperatur der verwendeten Ionen nahe dem absoluten Nullpunkt. Da gespeicherte Ionen sich mit der Zeit erwärmen, wodurch weitere Quantenoperationen fehleranfällig werden, ist es nötig, die gespeicherten Ionen auch während der Laufzeit des Quantenschaltkreises herunterzukühlen. Die im Projekt MIQRO zu erforschenden Kühlmethoden für gespeicherte Ionen in Quantenprozessoren erfordern verschiedene Laserlicht-Quellen.
