Municipal waste (ZKO)

The subject of the contract is the provision of services in the area of municipal waste management in accordance with this description of the subject matter of the contract, including services related to the collection, transport, and processing of municipal waste, disinfection and cleaning of collection bins, as well as the operation of collection yards within the city of Košice, including ensuring separate collection. The contracting authority's requirements for ensuring separate collection are set out in Part 1, point 1.3 of the Description of the Subject Matter of the Contract. Services must be provided in accordance with the waste management hierarchy resulting from Act No. 79/2015 Coll. on waste and on amendments to certain acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Waste Act"), and other related legal regulations. The estimated start date for the provision of services is January 1, 2027. The duration of the service provision is set at 120 months, i.e., until December 31, 2036, if the contract becomes effective from January 1, 2027. If this is not the case, the contract duration will be 120 months from the contract's effective date. With the exception of the operation of collection yards, all services must commence on the contract's effective date. If the required number of collection yards is not available at the start of service provision, their commissioning will be governed by the conditions specified in the section dedicated to collection yards, allowing for their establishment and commissioning in three stages, as further detailed in the description of the subject matter of the contract. The City of Košice, as the contracting authority, declares within its competencies its cooperation in legislative and substantive steps necessary for the proper and effective provision of the subject services, including ensuring the necessary permits, informing the public, and coordinating the development of the waste management system within its territory.
