Control activities for flushing operations and handling operations monitoring

For the land-based acceptance of dredged material, the HPA operates various handling and dredged material treatment plants approved under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) in Francop, Finkenwerder Vorhafen, Moorburg Mitte/Ost, and Ellerholz. Through a Europe-wide negotiated procedure, control and monitoring services for the aforementioned treatment plants during a flushing process, as well as handling work, are to be awarded to an external company. The contractor's control tasks include the supervision and regulation of flushing pipelines before and during a flushing process, the identification of leaks and anomalies, and their immediate reporting if they occur. Furthermore, keeping a construction diary with the recording of essential data such as start/end times, temperature, date, etc., is part of the tasks. The contractor is responsible for the professional documentation of the entire measure.
