Description
1 crystal orientation tool (IISB.WP4.2) The device is an X-ray-based alignment and crystal mounting system for the precise alignment of individual AlN or GaN bulk crystals prior to a multi-wire sawing process. The system should include fixtures for the proper mounting of the crystals so that they can be transported to the multi-wire saw and cut there at a specific angle to the crystallographic c-axis. The systems should also be capable of automatically mapping the local alignment of the c-plane relative to the surface of polished and ground wafers, as well as the half-width of rocking curves under symmetric and asymmetric measurement conditions. Options: 1.9: Bonding multiple crystals At least 3 crystals made of the same material (material as specified in 1.1) and with the dimensions described in 1.2 can be aligned and bonded to the same sawing block.
