Layout of program booklets for the 2026/2027 season

Therefore, please use exclusively the contact details of the tendering institution from the announcement when you: The subject of the tender is the conclusion of a framework agreement for the ongoing layout creation of all program booklets of the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin (DSO) for an initial season, starting with the 2026/2027 season. The contract shall have a basic term of one season and an option for the contracting authority to extend it three times for one further season each. The tender covers typesetting, layout, imposition, final artwork, data-ready output, and, if necessary, minor technical adjustments of all DSO program booklets required during the 2026/2027 season and any extension seasons. The services are to be provided on the basis of an existing design provided by the contracting authority. The subject of the tender is expressly not the development of a new design concept or a new corporate design, but the reliable application and continuation of the existing design framework. The framework agreement serves for ongoing commissioning of individual productions within the respective season. The estimated order volume is approximately EUR 35,000 per season for about 28 more extensive program booklets for symphony concerts (around 32 pages) and about 14 less extensive ones (around 6 pages). Commissioning will be based on demand through individual calls from the contracting authority. The framework agreement covers layout services for program booklets to the extent requested by the contracting authority. The program booklets may have different page counts in particular. Unless otherwise specified in the individual call-off, the following general requirements apply: - Final format usually 13 x 18 cm - Implementation based on the existing DSO design and design guidelines - Integration and structured placement of texts, image material, cast lists, biographies, credits, sponsorship information, and mandatory information - Typesetting and imposition in a production-ready format - Creation, maintenance, and adaptation of paragraph, character, and object styles within the framework of the given design - Creation of print-ready files according to the technical specifications of the contracting authority or the commissioned printing company - Execution of up to 4 correction loops until print approval; these correction loops are included in the offered price - Careful check for completeness, consistent design, page sequence, and obvious typesetting errors The contracting authority or its commissioned authors usually provide texts and images approximately 14 days before the respective concert date. The first designed draft of the respective program booklet must be submitted to the contracting authority no later than 10 days before the respective concert date. With each individual call-off, the contracting authority specifies in particular the scope, content, image material, delivery date, approval loops, and, if applicable, product-specific special requirements. All bidders must provide a price per designed page as a binding basis for pricing. This page price will form the basis for the evaluation of offers as well as for the subsequent commissioning of individual program booklets under the framework agreement. The price per designed page must include all usual services for typesetting and layout according to the existing design, in particular imposition, content integration, final artwork, usual correction loops, creation of print-ready data, and handover of open work files as far as they are required for contractual use.
