Delivery of components, licenses, and maintenance services for the upgrade and renewal of the existing core network infrastructure

The existing core network and fabric infrastructure is based on components and technologies from the manufacturer Extreme Networks. The existing network components are integrated into a uniform management, monitoring, and security architecture. The core network infrastructure is an essential basis for the hospital's medical and administrative core processes. Due to the mandate as a maximum care provider, the highest possible availability, corresponding to the state of the art, is required. Avoidable additional sources of error and operational risks must therefore be limited already during procurement. Due to increased requirements for performance, port capacity, transmission speed, availability, reliability, and IT security, as well as due to age-related replacement needs, a comprehensive renewal and upgrade of the core network infrastructure is necessary. The objective of the procurement is the delivery of the following for the renewal and upgrade of the existing core network infrastructure: • Hardware components, • Interface and expansion modules, • Transceivers and connection components, • Software, management, and function licenses, • Maintenance and support entitlements, and • other accessories listed in the scope of services. The specific products, article numbers, and quantities to be delivered will be finally determined by the scope of services. The subject of the tender is exclusively the delivery of the components, licenses, and maintenance services listed in the scope of services. The contractor owes: 1. the complete and timely delivery of the tendered hardware components and accessories, 2. the provision and transfer of the tendered software and function licenses, 3. the registration and activation of the tendered maintenance and support services, 4. the assignment of all licenses and maintenance entitlements to the contracting authority, and 5. the handover of the associated license, support, and registration certificates. All delivered hardware components must: - be brand new and unused, - be original products of the manufacturer specified in the scope of services, - originate from an authorized sales channel, - be intended for the German or European market, - have a clearly traceable serial number, - be registrable with the manufacturer, and - be approved for the respective tendered maintenance and support service. The contractor must ensure that: - the delivered licenses correspond to the specified products and article numbers, - the licenses are fully usable for the intended purpose, - there are no time or functional limitations that are not expressly stated in the scope of services, - the license terms correspond to the tendered periods, and - all license certificates, activation keys, and registration information are handed over to the contracting authority. The maintenance and support services listed in the scope of services must be provided as regular manufacturer services. Page 5 of 7 Service Description - Core Network The maintenance or support period begins at the time specified in the scope of services or in the order. The contractor must ensure the proper registration of the maintenance and support services with the manufacturer and provide the contracting authority with appropriate proof thereof. The proof must include at least: - affected articles or serial numbers, - type and scope of support service, - start and end of the service period, - agreed service or response times, and - manufacturer or contract reference numbers. No unintended support gaps may arise between the delivery of the hardware and the start of the maintenance period.
