Description
ESA will build a fifth 35m deep space ground station (DSA-5) at the ESO La Silla complex in Chile. The new terminal is required to increase ESTRACK's deep-space tracking capacity, avoiding shortages already by the early 2030's.
The scope of this activity comprises the provision of local support services during the DSA-5 construction phase in the domain of civil engineering and power systemsengineering, including the monitoring and coordination of activities at the La Silla site on behalf of the Agency, facilitation of local services and logistics, and the deployment, operation and maintenance of the Agency's temporary on-site office.
