Procurement of classroom teacher's multidisciplinary studies

The City of Helsinki procures for special education teachers in the basic education sector of the education and training sector, as a tailored commissioned training, classroom teacher's multidisciplinary studies (65 credits) for the period 1.8.2026 – 31.12.2029. The training will be carried out as blended learning, combining various forms of contact teaching, distance learning, and self-study. The training must be completable alongside the students' work. The set of classroom teacher's multidisciplinary studies (65 credits) must be completable within two calendar years. The right to study is valid for three calendar years. The studies are part of the studies providing professional qualifications for the role of a classroom teacher, in accordance with the Decree on University Degrees (794/2004, §19). The service provider must grant credit for the completed basic degree and the special education teacher degree. Upon completion of all studies in accordance with the degree regulations, graduates will have the professional qualifications and formal eligibility to work as a special education teacher. The contract includes the possibility of an optional period of up to one (1) year. The client will decide on the use of the optional period at the latest six (6) months before the end of the main contract period. In this case, the procurement contracts will expire no later than 31.12.2030. The terms of the original procurement contract will apply unchanged during the optional period as they are in force at the end of the main contract period. The client does not commit to any specific procurement volume. This procurement is a training services procurement in accordance with Annex E of the Procurement Act.
