Due to its existing functionality and proven components, it is to be specifically further developed and optimized on the one hand, to maintain and expand its existing strengths. On the other hand, the aim is to reduce complexities, increase agility, and make the system more efficient and future-proof in the long term. This dual approach ensures a balance between continuing proven processes and promoting innovative solution approaches. Digital credentials include, for example, learning statuses or educational or competency certificates for users. The credentials contain statements about a person, an organization, or things. Such statements can include, for example, grades, names, and other content. The range of applications for credentials in the education sector is broad, spanning various educational institutions and sectors. The data contained must be confirmed by an authorized institution and protected against alteration. The project aims to enhance an established digital credential system, focusing on both iterative improvements to leverage existing strengths and strategic reorientation to increase agility, reduce complexity, and ensure long-term performance and future viability. The scope includes the development and management of digital records such as learning achievements and certifications, which provide verifiable information about individuals or entities, protected by authorized confirmation against tampering.
