Ziel des Projektes ist die fachliche Unterstützung des Umweltbundesamtes bei der Einrichtung, Inbetriebnahme, dem Anlaufbetrieb sowie der wissenschaftlich-technischen Etablierung eines MEDUSA-Messsystems zur kontinuierlichen Bestimmung langlebiger klimawirksamer halogenierter Spurengase (insbesondere FCKW) an der GAW-Station Zugspitze. . Der Auftragnehmende erbringt seine Leistungen unterstützend und begleitend in enger Abstimmung mit dem Auftraggeber. Die Verantwortung für den Messbetrieb verbleibt beim Umweltbundesamt.
