Konkurransen gjelder overvåkning av miljøtilstanden i Indre Oslofjord. Fagrådets medlemmer er Asker, Bærum, Oslo, Nordre Follo, Ås, Nesodden og Frogn kommuner. I de siste årene har Fagrådet gjort miljøovervåkning i samarbeid med vannområdene Oslo, Indre Oslofjord Vest og PURA (Bunnefjorden med Årungen og Gjersjøvassdraget).
