Die Nachmittagsbetreuung soll an Schulstandorten stattfinden. Die Nachmittagsbetreuung umfasst einen Betreuungsumfang von 3,5 Stunden pro Tag. Damit orientiert sich das Angebot ergänzend zur Unterrichtszeit am gesetzlichen Anspruch auf ganztägige Bildung und Betreuung gemäß § 24 Abs. 4 SGB VIII. Die Nachmittagsbetreuung beginnt um 12:30 Uhr am jeweiligen Schulstandort und endet somit um 16:00 Uhr. Es sollen max. 20 Kinder pro Gruppe betreut werden. Zur Betreuung der Gruppen braucht es mindestens eine Fachkraft gem. § 9 NKiTaG pro Gruppe (Erzieher:in). Die zweite Person muss mindestens eine sogenannte anders geeignete Person gem. § 11 NKiTaG sein. Ein generelles Ausschlusskriterium ist das Vorliegen eines Kriteriums gem. § 72a SGB VIII (Tätigkeitsausschluss einschlägig vorbestrafter Personen).
