Network WLAN Redesign for the Bodenseekreis District Office

The subject of this tender is the conversion and expansion of the in-house WLAN and data network (Network WLAN Redesign) including core and workgroup switches, branch office routers, Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Catalyst Center (formerly DNA), each including the necessary licenses, warranty and maintenance services. The scope of services includes in particular: • Replacement and relocation of WLAN access points: Dismantling of existing APs at the Glärnischstraße (GL) site and reuse in the Albrechtstraße (AL) building, so that a uniform AP type is used per building; additional APs will be supplemented, documented and labeled according to illumination • Integration of new and existing APs into the overall network, VLAN pre-configuration and automated assignment upon connection • Setup of iBeacon profiles per AP (UUID, Major/Minor IDs, spoken location names text/voice output, optional custom message) as well as creation and handover of an agreed location profile file (including BSSIDs as WiFi fallback) • Replacement of mesh-based APs in branch offices and proof of mesh functionality through tests • Maintenance and continued operation of existing WLAN controllers (high availability), unchanged configuration • Replacement of branch office routers due to end-of-service, migration of configuration, 19" mounting and data protection compliant disposal of old equipment • Migration/new operation of ISE functionality (802.1X) on Hyper-V infrastructure provided by the client using backup/restore, joint testing and release • Complete integration of switches, routers and APs into the Catalyst Center for configuration, firmware management and monitoring Further details can be found in the attached documents.
