New Construction of Fire Protection and Training Center (BAZ) at the Newel Site

I. General Description: The Trier-Land municipal association is planning the construction of a central fire protection and training center in Newel in order to bundle the supra-regional functions of the municipal fire brigade, utilize synergies and increase operational readiness. The building will not only provide space for the safe storage of vehicles in the future, but also for the storage and organization of a variety of equipment. In addition to the facilities mentioned, training and meeting rooms will be provided, not only for regular training and information on new techniques, regulations and operational strategies, but also for the central training and further education of the fire brigade college in the entire Trier-Land municipal association. The training area will be complemented by a training yard and a training wall, which are specially designed for practical training and exercises. The workshop areas of the fire brigade will be supplemented by additional office and workshop areas of the municipal association (depot, special purpose association Forst) in order to cover a broader range of inspection, maintenance and repair work. The ground floor and the first floor of the two-story building body are planned as a solid reinforced concrete structure with a high degree of prefabrication. The external walls are made of hollow concrete walls, are thermally insulated and have an aluminum curtain facade with free profile geometry. The vehicle hall is to be constructed as a conventional reinforced concrete frame structure. The partition wall between the vehicle hall and the adjoining ancillary room program is intended as a reinforced concrete thermal wall. Inside, the hollow concrete walls are to remain largely visible. The roof structure in the form of a green roof with a PV system rests on reinforced concrete beams and consists of a trapezoidal sheet metal load-bearing shell as a warm roof structure, which is executed on the underside with acoustic perforation. The electrical installation is required here.
