Description

EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT (EME) MEETING 1. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (GoB) has received financing from the Agence Française de Développement (“AFD”) towards the cost of the Chattogram Metropolitan Sanitation Project for North Kattoli Catchment (CMSP-NKC). Chattogram Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (CWASA), the implementing agency under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing toward payments under the following two Design-Build contracts. 2. Under the Project, CWASA intends to invite applications for Initial Selection and/or bids for the following packages: i) Package W1: Design, Construction, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a 50,000 m³/day Sewage Treatment Plant and Associated Works for North Kattoli Catchment of Chattogram Metropolitan ; and ii) Package W2: Design, Construction, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Wastewater Networks and Associated Works for North Kattoli Catchment of Chattogram Metropolitan . Preparation of the Initial Selection and/or Bidding Documents is currently underway. Procurement under the Project will be conducted in accordance with the “Procurement Guidelines for AFD-Financed Contracts in Foreign Countries – October 2019”, available on AFD’s website at www.afd.fr . 3. In view of the above, CWASA hereby invites interested contractors and/or firms to participate in an Early Market Engagement (EME) Meeting, to be held from 14:30 to 15:45 hours Bangladesh Standard Time (GMT+6) on 20 August 2026 at the Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, CWASA New Headquarters Building, Dampara, Chattogram. Participants may alternatively join the meeting via Zoom using the following credentials: Meeting ID: 846 203 8411 Passcode: cwasa123 4. The purpose of this session is to facilitate dialogue on key parameters and issues relating to the above-mentioned contracts and to support the preparation of suitable Initial Selection and/or Bidding Documents. Potential bidders are strongly encouraged to participate and provide feedback, comments, suggestions, and/or questions regarding the proposed procurement opportunities. 5. A Market Information Form will be available on the Chattogram WASA website (www.ctg-wasa.org.bd). The form has been prepared to collect specific information regarding the experience and capacity of potential bidders. Interested contractors and/or firms are requested to complete the form and submit it to the email address provided below before the EME Meeting. 6.
