User Acquisition

As part of the development of the port area "Steinwerder Süd" (former Hansaterminal and Roßterminal areas), the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) intends to award services for international marketing and user acquisition for a contiguous port area of approximately 26.4 hectares to be developed. The aim is to attract one or more creditworthy companies with innovative, value-adding, and sustainable utilization concepts in line with the requirements of the Port Development Act. The subject of the award is the commissioning of an experienced service provider with an international network who will take over the strategic positioning of the site, identify suitable industries, and approach potential industrial users and investors worldwide. The services include, in particular, the creation of a site and industry analysis, the development of a marketing strategy, the creation of high-quality analog and digital marketing materials (including virtual presentations), the active international approach to potential users, and the support of lead generation up to the HPA's investment or rental decision. The project includes the restructuring and structural preparation of the area, including land elevation, dismantling of existing structures, and creation of new, flexibly usable port land. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2029. With this award, the HPA particularly aims to increase the reach and chances of success in attracting suitable users, achieve economic and strategic goals of the port development plan, and minimize risks through a performance-oriented remuneration model and ensure flexibility in the marketing process.
