Description
De gemeente Pelt wenst een geïntegreerde studie uit te voeren naar de verkeerscirculatie en het parkeerbeleid in Overpelt Centrum. Deze studie is noodzakelijk in het licht van een aantal belangrijke ruimtelijke en infrastructurele evoluties die een significante impact zullen hebben op de bereikbaarheid, leefbaarheid en verkeersstromen binnen het studiegebied. Daarnaast wenst de gemeente het tracé van de fietssnelweg F71 op de Ringlaan (noordzijde tussen Houtmolenstraat en Bemvaartstraat) te onderzoeken en een ontwerp te laten opmaken. De studie heeft als doel: • het ontwikkelen van een toekomstgericht circulatieplan; • het optimaliseren van het parkeerbeleid; • het verhogen van de leefkwaliteit en verkeersveiligheid; • het verminderen van doorgaand en sluipverkeer; • het garanderen van een goede bereikbaarheid voor bewoners, handelaars en bezoekers. • Het ontwerpen van de fietssnelweg F71 op de Ringlaan
