INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION

This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in UNDB website on November 4, 2008.
The Republic of Indonesia has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Upper Cisokan Pumped Storage Power Plant Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract(s) for Package 1 which contains Lot 1A – Upper and Lower Dams and Lot 1B – Waterways, Powerhouse, Switchyard and Building Works.PT. PLN (Persero) intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for procurement of relevant Works required for this 4 x 260 MW hydropower project.Applications may be made for prequalification for either one or both of the contracts. It is expected that invitationsfor bid will be made aroundFebruary 2014.
It should be noted that to be prequalified for 2 lots, an Applicant shall meet the aggregated financial requirements for Cash Flow and Average Annual Turnover of Lots 1A and 1B.
Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank'sGuidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, dated May 2004, revised October 2006 and May 2010, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the Guidelines.
Interested eligible Applicantsmay obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at PT. PLN (Persero) (address below) from 09:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. during 28October – 16 December 2013. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application and upon payment by cash or remittance of a nonrefundable fee of Rp. 5,000,000 (or USD500 equivalent). The document may be picked up at PLN's office or be sent by registered mail.
Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by 16 December 2013 at the latest, and be clearly marked "Application to Prequalify for Upper Cisokan Pumped Storage Power Plant Project:Package 1 Lot 1A – Upperand Lower Dams and/or Package 1 Lot 1B – Waterways, Powerhouse, Switchyard and BuildingWorks".
