Description
Through this RFP, ACS seeks to partner with providers who will recruit, train, deploy, and supervise parents with lived experience in the child welfare system to serve as Parent Advocates who will provide advocacy and support to parents, youth, and families before, during, and after Initial Child Safety Conferences. ACS seeks providers who are committed to treating all children and families with respect and dignity, and to developing and delivering high-quality services that recognize the diversity of children and families in terms of race, ethnicity, primary language, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, immigration and refugee status, mental and physical ability, and other factors. ACS seeks providers who recognize the impact of social inequities, racism, and other forms of discrimination on children and families, and who will partner with ACS to implement strategies to support and guide families through processes in which staff are aware of and actively addressing potential disparities in service quality and outcome, particularly racial disparities.
