Description
This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by Parkland County (the “County”) to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide Trenchless Rehabilitation Services for Underground Mains and Manholes, as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).
Parkland County is a rural municipality located immediately west of Edmonton. Covering an area of 256,802 hectares (634,571 acres), it is one of the largest in size and one of the highest populated of all rural municipalities in Alberta. Parkland County has grown to a community of over 30,000 people and has seen generations of families continue to enjoy country living.
The County is currently seeking submissions from qualified vendors to enter a prequalified roster for the provision of various trenchless rehabilitation methodologies. All prequalified contractors must be able to act as prime contractor, and must be the primary provider of the prequalified trenchless rehabilitation techniques.
Though much of the work forecasted in the next 3 years will be CIPP Lining and Manhole Rehabilitation, it is anticipated there will be several opportunities to explore other trenchless rehabilitation techniques as the project design teams or operations requires. Respondents may submit for one or more of the following five categories:
1) Mainline Lining – Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP)
2) Mainline Lining - Alternative Methods
3) Manhole Rehabilitation - Geopolymer/polymeric coatings
4) Manhole Rehabilitation – Alternative Methods
5) Spot Repairs & Lateral Lining
The County intends to pre-qualify Contractors to be included on a Master Roster List for each prequalification category for a period of three years with no options to extend. Respondents shall note that the County does not intend to re-issue an RFSQ for the services listed in this document for a three-year period.
