Description

JRC-Geel has a contract with a technical maintenance provider, responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the installations. These installations are subdivided in the following sections: 1. Technical installations; HVAC, including plumbing, sanitary installations, drainage, water and gas supply; and electricity (HV and LV), lighting, emergency lighting, emergency generators, lightning protection, distribution boards, UPS’s equipotential connections and earthing; 2. Building elements (access, doors, windows, locks, outer walls, external carpentry, wall covering, flooring, ceiling, roof and parking area, gutters,…). These installations are located on the JRC-Geel site. The site has a surface of 38 hectares and contains approximately 20 buildings. Some of the installations are located in controlled areas for radiation protection purposes. This implies that staff working in these areas (including monitoring activities as described here) will need prior approval by a recognised company doctor. All these tasks in the controlled area are also subject to security clearance. The contractor shall foresee the relevant clearances for itself and all subcontractors (if any) that will require access to these areas. In order to audit the performance of the maintenance, as well as to have an objective evaluation of the status of the installations, JRC-Geel wishes to have the status of the technical installations monitored periodically by an independent contractor. This last is the subject of this call.
