Structural engineering planning services - Addition of a canteen to Kandern Primary School

The town of Kandern intends to build an extension for a canteen to ensure and further develop all-day care places in the sense of flexible afternoon care. The basis for the planning is the determined need for care places and the objective of continuous two-stream education. The school site consists of a listed main building (built in 1910) and an extension from 2002. The existing building will primarily undergo functional adjustments, while the extension will be supplemented and reorganized. The core of the measure is the new construction of a canteen in timber frame construction with an associated kitchen. The canteen will be barrier-free connected to the existing building complex and is designed for two-shift operation. In addition, a spacious, projecting roof structure is planned, which functionally extends the adjacent schoolyard and serves as a weather-protected recreational area. During the renovation measures, fire protection adjustments, optimization of escape routes, and measures to improve lighting and quality of stay will also be carried out. The preliminary planning (service phases 1-2) for the other trades (architect and HVAC planners) has already been completed. The subject of the present award procedure according to the Vergabeverordnung (VgV) are the further structural engineering planning from LPH 1-6.
