Predmetom projektu je vybudovanie cyklistickej trasy v úseku Nesvady – Martovce prevažne úpravou koruny ochranných hrádzí. Stavba sa výškovo prispôsobuje existujúcej výške využitých objektov - koruny ochrannej hrádze. V súvislosti s výstavbou cyklistickej komunikácie sa neuvažuje s prekládkou inžinierskych sietí, počas rekognoskácii terénu však bolo zistené, že na stavenisku sa nachádzajú inžinierske vedenia – vzdušné aj podzemné. Pred zahájením stavebných prác investor musí zabezpečiť u správcov sietí ich vytýčenie a vyznačenie ochranných pásiem, taktiež zabezpečenie nového stanoviska od správcov týchto sietí. Celková dĺžka trasy Nesvady – Martovce je 7,742 km. Vytvorená trasa so spevneným (asfaltovým) povrchom pre cykloturistiku bude mať šírku 3,0 m, rozšírením koruny ochrannej hrádze (požiadavka zo strany správcu vodohospodárskeho objektu). Správcom dotknutých objektov – ochranných hrádzí je Slovenský vodohospodársky podnik, štátny podnik. Prevádzkovateľom navrhnutej cyklotrasy bude stavebník. Výstavbou bude dotknuté inundačné územie vodného toku – Starej Nitry. Taktiež bude dotknutá jej ochranná línia. Dodávateľ stavebných prác, ak to správca vodohospodárskeho objektu bude požadovať – bude musieť vypracovať povodňový plán zabezpečovacích prác zhotoviteľa stavby. Povodňový plán musí odsúhlasiť správca významných tokov (SVP š. p.). Povodňový plán schváli miestne príslušný okresný úrad – pre predmetnú stavbu je Okresný úrad Komárno.
