Provision of gastronomic services in the building of the Slavie Cultural Center

The Slavie Cultural Center is a Neo-Renaissance building and a protected cultural monument located in České Budějovice on the banks of the Malše river, in close proximity to the historic city center. From its inception, the building served for decades as a center for the city's cultural, social, and political life. Theaters and a whole host of cultural associations, movements, and ensembles were based here. This tradition is now being continued by the newly renovated building, and the operation of gastronomic services should correspond to the character and mission of the building. The subject of the concession will be the operation/provision of gastronomic services consisting of the operation of a restaurant, a café, and two (2) bars in the designated areas of the Slavie Cultural Center. The operation of the café and restaurant includes outdoor spaces allowing for the operation of an outdoor garden with seating for guests of the café and restaurant. The selected supplier will operate/provide restaurant and potentially catering activities in the designated areas of the Slavie Cultural Center under the conditions specified in the concession agreement. The restaurant operation will correspond to the operation of an independent restaurant, i.e., a restaurant operated regardless of events held in the Slavie Cultural Center. Gastronomic activities in the café and two (2) bars will be provided primarily in connection with events held in the Slavie Cultural Center. Events in this context are understood to be mainly theater performances, other public performances, conferences, concerts, balls, and other similar events organized in the Slavie Cultural Center. A detailed specification of the subject of the performance of the concession, including technical conditions in the detail necessary for the preparation of the offer, is provided in the annexes to this tender documentation, specifically in Annex No. 1 – Commercial Conditions (in the form of a binding draft concession agreement) (hereinafter referred to as the "Draft Agreement"), Annex No. 2 – Description of Gastronomic Operations (hereinafter referred to as the "Description of Operations"), and Annex No. 3 – Description of Equipment, Layout (hereinafter referred to as the "Description of Equipment"). The contracting authority points out that the renovation of the Slavie Cultural Center was co-financed through a grant.
