Power server

This public procurement tender concerns the acquisition of Power servers designed to enhance the computational capacity of the existing database system, which operates on the Informix platform under the AIX operating system, as well as application servers also running on AIX. All procured items must be 100% compatible with IBM Power Systems Servers (formerly pSeries) and the IBM AIX operating system, as these are the systems currently utilized by the contracting authority. The contracting authority presently operates an infrastructure based on IBM Power System S924, IBM Power System S824, and IBM Power System S822 servers. The servers to be procured will be used to expand and refresh the contracting authority's existing environment. To maintain homogeneity, ensuring functionality and seamless integration within the current setup, and to allow for server interchangeability, the contracting authority requires the same type of servers. Reference products are specified for each required item to verify compatibility with the intended use. The contracting authority is not obligated to accept the subject of the contract if the proposed solution is incompatible with its homogeneous environment. All delivered components must be original IBM products, supplied through authorized distribution channels, and intended for use within the Slovak Republic. The contracting authority will accept equivalent goods only if they represent an equal replacement for the requested items or if they are newer models that are fully compatible with the intended application. If an equivalent solution is proposed, it can only be supplied after consultation and with the explicit approval of the contracting authority. The contracting authority will evaluate the proposed equivalent performance and inform the supplier whether the proposal is accepted.
