Agency: UNESCO | Reference: AFG26ITB006 | Type: Invitation to bid Preserving Heritage Properties and Upgrading Informal Settlement works in this ITB cover the following activities:Lining of a drain/canal from the historical site of Qalai Tajik coming down through Qalai Tajik village and joining the main canal flowing in Foladi valley. The length of the drain is 175m with width of 1-1.5m and depth of 1.5 to 3m.Construction of culverts: Construction of 3 culverts, two box culverts and one pipe culverts as per specifications and BoQ.Improvement of access road: The access road through Qalai Tajik village from asphalt road that is 200m long, with cutting, filling, gravelling, watering, compaction as per BoQ.Footpath/steps: The access footpath and steps from the access road through Qalai Tajik village up to historical site and caves with the length of 300m for footpaths and 65m steps.Installation of Gabion boxes for reducing flood erosion: The flood flowing within historical sites (in front of the cliff) requires 6 speed breakers of gabion boxes.Fencing the historical site/cliff: The cliff at the historical site requires proper fencing with installation of metallic pillars and proper/strong mesh with entry control gate that only authorized people can go inside. The total length of the fencing is 85m, with a height of 2m. The detailed specifications are provided in drawings and BoQ.Installation of Doors: Locally best quality doors should be installed in the caves in the historical site. The size of the door is 2mx1m and the total number is 20 doors.Construction of animal shelter: Six shelters (a room with size 10m x 4.5m) with all accessories (foundation, stone masonry, brick masonry, floor, roofing, plasters, door, windows) as per detailed drawings and BoQ.
