Principal Contractor - Northern Heart Centre

The Department of Health seeks to engage a suitable building contractor for the construction of the new Northern Heart Centre, located within the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) precinct.
The scope of the project includes a new 24-bed cardiac inpatient unit, two Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories and dedicated diagnostic testing and monitoring facilities. Supported by funding from the Australian Governemnt, the Project supports the Tasmanian Cardiac Strategy and the Long-Term Plan for Healthcare in Tasmania 2040 and is being delivered as part of the broader LGH Precinct Masterplan. Delivery of the new Northern Heart Centre will consolidate and enhance cardiac care services for Northern Tasmanians, creating a dedicated cardiac service in one convenient location and enhancing health outcomes for the community.
