The Koralestari Program aims to address the decline in coral reef health in Indonesia caused by unsustainable fisheries and aquaculture practices, uncontrolled coastal development, land- and marine-based pollution, the impacts of climate change, and invasive species. The program will be implemented from 2024 to 2029 across three priority regions: Berau in East Kalimantan, the Savu Sea in East Nusa Tenggara, and Lingga Island in the Riau Islands Province. Through the Koralestari Program, YKAN collaborates with government agencies, the private sector, and local communities to promote the sustainable management of coastal and marine resources.The implementation of the Koralestari Program involves a diverse portfolio of activities across multiple workstreams, including planning and coordination, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, procurement and grant management, monitoring and reporting, as well as financial and operational administration.
