Výtahová šachta bude umístěna ve vnitrobloku Ostravského muzea a vedena v plné výšce budovy B Ostravského muzea a ukončena nad úrovní jeho ploché střechy. Z nadstřešní části výtahu bude realizován spojovací krček do budovy A v místě mansardové střechy (místnost č. 414).
